From whole foot to tiptoes
Roughly 20 millions years ago, the carnivore Pseudaelurus lived, and like modern cats, it walked on its toes instead of flat-footed. It possessed sharp, stabbing teeth and a very flexible spine—like that of modern cats. The Pseudaelurus varied in size between 50 and 200 pounds. Scientists assume this was the true ancestor of cats.
